Q1. What is Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)?

A. MFA is used to verify customer identity when they sign into an application. It provides an extra layer of security on top of credentials like usernames and passwords.

Q2. How will I be impacted by the application updates?

A. The login and authentication process will be updated. You will be provided with a two-step verification method and will be asked to verify your identity through MFA every 7 days.

Upon your first login into the application, you will be prompted to select the preferred MFA method.

Q3. Will I need to use MFA for each device I use for the same application?

A. Yes, you will need to sign in using the MFA method you already registered with if you switch devices.

Q4. How often will I have to perform MFA?

A. You will need to verify your identity using MFA every 7 days.

Q5. Do I need to change my password after the application updates are live?

A. No, you can log into the application using your existing account.

Q6. Will I use my registered email address to log in to the application?

A. Yes, you will enter your registered email address in the username field to log into the application.

Q7. What are the different MFA verification methods available to users?

A. The different MFA verification methods available to users are:

  • SMS (Text) Verification

  • Email Verification

  • Google Authenticator/Microsoft Authenticator

Q8. When will I be asked to set up the MFA?

A. Upon your first login into the updated application, you will be asked to set up the MFA. You can follow the steps mentioned in this article to enroll and authenticate using the selected MFA method. If you are logging in via a third party application or Punchout, you will not be prompted to enable MFA.

Q10. When will the verification be done through MFA?

A. You will enter your email address and password on the login screen of the application. Then, you will be asked to verify your credentials through one of your chosen MFA Factors. On successful authentication, you will be able to access the application.
